That’s a pretty impressive list. I mean, I know that schizophrenic was good, but I couldn’t believe that he got all 10 spots on your list.

The thing about those lists (about everything) is not that they are correct, rather they get you to look at some things/artists/art you might not have appreciated.

I'd disagree, at least when it comes to "TOP 50 [WHATEVERS] OF ALL TIME"... It's not exposing us to some new names, invariably the comments will be "this person doesn't belong at #5" rather than "Oh, it's nice to see someone put respect on someone's name... There's no context, nothing to help someone who doesn't know who some of the names are...

But sure, rarely, a still-subjective but at least well-thought out rundown, with context, etc., might be helpful -- but even then, in an age when we can all seek and discover music or artists or things on our own, these rundowns are really only done to create/amplify engagement. Especially these random outlets or, literally, handwritten lists -- some that are completely made up -- that someone posts, and ignites a flurry of unnecessary debate.

What would be more productive are "Top 10 [whatevers] that don't get major attention but are super dope" lists... Even though they too can be subjective. And we get those from time to time. But these random ass TOP 50 RAPPERS OF ALL TIME lists simply do not serve that altruistic purpose, and to me, engaging in them only serves to promote circular, divisive, non-informative content.
