Upcoming Dates (Hip Hop Conferences, CFPs), Hip Hop Counseling Certificate Program & More
Plus me and John Robinson LIVE in Atlanta!
👋 Hey friends, neighbors, supporters, and haters! Some important updates in this edition (including upcoming conference/CFP dates) so I’ll get right to it. (Also, the next livestream show is tonight at 9pm!)
😱 OMG YOU MISSED IT!!!
📺 A video version of my last essay: “Did Kendrick’s Performance Even Matter? (SPOILER: Yes But only if we do THIS!)”
The HHCSA Discord channel is still new, but growing! It’s a place we can have smart conversations and share info in between podcast episodes and newsletter drops. Big thanks to our friend and Patreon contributor Andrew Wang for listing new music releases in the #share-music channel!

By the way… There isn't a whole lot of commercial appeal to being a fully independent advocate for the ways that Hip Hop can help uplift humanity. If it's not clickbait journalism, or internet sensationalism, it's hard to make a living documenting the kind of work that you see listed in the newsletter, or highlighting on the podcast/livestream. (And not feeling very optimistic about getting grant funding for the time being…) But for that very reason (and a whole lot more), this stuff is perhaps more urgent than ever.
Please help contribute to the maintenance and growth of what I like to call ‘the world’s most enlightening Hip Hop media ecosystem!’ ⬇️
